Web 2.0 tools in computer engineering degree from the University Alonso de Ojeda

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the tools of Web 2.0 applied in the class room for curricular units taught in the career of computing engineering at Alonso de Ojeda University. This is a field research, descriptive and longitudinal, according to the elements described by Hernandez et al (2011) and Arias (2006). As data, were taken the tools used in the curricular units: Database II, Algorithm I, Algorithm II, Datacom I and II, Planning and Systems Development II, IT Security and Software Engineering, in the academic periods between 2009 and 2015. After the processing of data, it is concluded that web 2.0 tools used correspond to the technological fore front of the moment, promoting collaborative learning in the classroom, teacher- student interaction and applicability in different areas of knowledge for training high performance professionals.
