Abstract

In educational institutions, a reading and writing deficit has increased affecting the child's teaching process. The objective of the study will be to achieve the op ti mal performance of language and communication skills to
contribute to the development of reading comprehension skills. The theorists that support this research are Serrano (2015), Ferreiro and Teberosky (2013). The method used was participatory action research. The results were significant, the use of strategies adapted to the XXI century encouraged the transformation of the teach ers for the execution of their classes. It is concluded that reading and writing in classrooms has been optimized thanks to the use of strategies that promote the child’s own creativity.
