Abstract

The aim of this test is to indicate that Michel Foucault’s article “Preface to the transgression”, elaborated to analyze the term Georges Bataille ‘transgression’, shows the attempt for founding a cognitive speech that was not de parting from the threshold of the rationality to know and to mean the practices, the phenomena and the objects of the reality, but of the sexed body of the subject. To carry out this reflection, we will prepare to analyze, the process of significance realized by Bataille on the ‘sexual activity’, the reading and reception that Foucault accomplished of the term “transgression”, in order to problematizing the expositions of these two authors from the logic of the third observer. This will al low us to recognize that the process of signification of reality is subject to a constant redefinition.
