The spirite doctrine: theoretical and relevant aspects within the research of spiritual phenomena

Abstract

Some relevant theoretical aspects are taken from the Spirite Doctrine in order to identify and analyze experiences of psychological, emotional, social and organic, reflecting changes in the spiritual and moral people’s field, caused by the different education programs, and of spiritual assistance implemented in the institutions in which people practice and disseminate this doctrine. For a basic understanding and a dialogue with their followers, we have studied Kardec texts, encoding the Doctrine, and other complementary services. In addition, we have performed an ethnographic work in five spirite centers; we have also established contacts with spiritist leaders, and participated in various courses, which have enabled us to recognize the ways in which the doctrinal principles are promoted and applied in such places.
