Abstract
The present article contains a set of reflections on “the epistemology of social science” which rests primarily on the speeches that served as references for readings used during the seminars Epistemology in the Social Sciences for seven years. This research aims to investigate this content to distinguish which is the dominant imaginary in the social sciences, which is being promoted and managed as dominant at the Central University of Venezuela, and the rest of the social sciences in the country. We note that the dominant paradigms and imaginary, have not been rethought but are treated passively and uncritically by the researchers.
