Main Article Content
Abstract
The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the actions of managerial leadership and the decision-making process executed by public university directors in the Maracaibo Municipality. Once the problem had been contextualized, the theoretical bases of Mondy, L. (2005), Maxwell (2006), Isaacs (2003), Senlle (1992), Munch (1999), Beny, H (2000), Robbins (2003), Stower (2000), Chiavenato, I. (2002) and Fields, C. (2007) were used, among others. To gather information, a questionnaire was applied to the population of 41 university directors, containing 38 Likert-type questions, each with 5 alternative answers. The research was descriptive, correlational and trans-sectional. Results determined that the action of university managerial leadership is based mainly on the decision-making process.
