Abstract

This study sets forth a methodology to regionalize the State of Tlaxcala through an environmental deterioration index for the municipalities, establishing a hierarchical order, considered an essential key for determining the regions. Likewise, each region is characterized, taking into account environmental, social, political and economic variables. The deterioration index and regionalization will open the field so that municipal civil employees can identify the degree of deterioration present in their municipalities as well as their main environmental problems, which will permit them to make decisions to carry out suitable and necessary actions to improve the environment.
