Technological Innovation in Agriculture: A Challenge Towards Sustainable Development

Abstract

In the last ten years there has been a significant advance in the technologies used for the agricultural sector in various countries of the world. The objective of this essay is to analyze technological innovation in the agricultural sector and its impact on sustainability indicators in the countries where they have been implemented. A methodology of documentary analysis was used, with content referring to innovation in the primary sector of the activities of the agri-food space. Reference is also made to the sustainability indicators of the countries with the greatest use of technological innovation in agriculture, especially those related to the environmental impact and wellbeing of the population.
