Abstract

Venezuelan education requires highly qualified teachers to operationalize the curriculum; there fore, this study aimed to characterize the initial training of teachers in educational research at Bolivarian Schools in the Santa Rita Township. The study was descriptive, with a non - experimental, cross-sectional, field design; the population census consisted of 31 teachers. Data was collected using a questionnaire with a frequency scale of three alternative responses: always, almost always and never. Results indicate high initial teacher training. Conclusions are that teachers at the Bolivarian schools have high initial training, so it is recommended that management and supervisory personnel promote their participation in ongoing training courses to
improve performance.
