The method and the toolbox

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to think about methodology and relate it to truth (Alétheia) and technique (Téchne) from an epistemological viewpoint, as well as to establish a link to the “toolbox” of M. Foucault. This toolbox is interpreted as a way of thinking about theory, interrelating a theoreticalmethodological-technical vision that makes possible a device for understanding reality that is not about recreating Foucault´s ideas but rather translating and developing them into a way of thinking in the areas of social and human sciences.
